The radiation converter comprises a micro-structured receiving surface and a micro-structured emission surface. These two surfaces are surrounded by a smooth boundary. The laser radiation is absorbed at the receiving surface and converted into thermal radiation which is emitted in a uniformly distributed manner at the emission surface.
