Abstract:
The invention relates to a glass strand, the chemical composition of which is substantially free of boron oxide and comprises the following constituents, in the limits defined below expressed as percentages by weight: SiO255 to 65 Al2O3 9 to 16 CaO15 to 26 MgO1 to 5 BaO + SrO0.5 to 5 Na2O + K2O + Li2 O0 to 2 TiO20 to 1 ZnO0 to 2 ZrO20 to 2. It also relates to composites comprising such strands.
