An image recording apparatus includes a feeding device which feeds a recording medium based on a target feed amount, a recording device which records an image on the recording medium that is fed by the feeding device, a feed-amount correcting portion which corrects the target feed amount, and a recording-position adjusting portion which adjusts a first position in which an image recording is initiated on the recording medium, corresponding to a correction of the target feed amount by the feed-amount correcting portion.
