An apparatus for manufacturing a wrap-around tube from at least one strip-shaped material is distinguished by the fact that it has a rotating wrapping element, which is indirectly or directly in engagement with the wrap-around tube, and a stationary wrapping core, onto which the at least one strip-shaped material is wrapped.
