A plurality of drivers are provided and switched between a driving state and a non-driving state in response to an ON/OFF signal that is fed. The plurality of drivers drive the plurality of pixels of the liquid crystal display panel on the basis of a display data signal and a synchronizing signal, including a vertical synchronizing signal VSYNC, so that an image responsive to the display data signal is shown on the liquid crystal display panel. A signal generating section is provided to generate, on the basis of the vertical synchronizing signal VSYNC and the ON/OFF signal that is fed, a new ON/OFF signal synchronized with the vertical synchronizing signal VSYNC, and feeds the new ON/OFF signal into the drivers.
