Then, upon reception of notification information indicating a processing state of the printing job from an external apparatus, second identification information indicating a log-in user at that time is obtained. It is determined whether or not the notification information is to be notified by comparing the first identification information obtained regarding a printing job corresponding to the received notification information with the second identification information obtained upon reception of the notification information.
