The display device is characterized in that the operating-time-related data are provided as portions of the operation of the motor vehicle with a switched-off internal combustion engine at entities (E, E′, E″, . . . ) occurring earlier on the route of the motor vehicle. The display device is configured to display these data in the manner of a histogram.
