Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatus, and system configurations for device management in a wireless communication network. A method includes determining, by a server of a communication network, that one or more updates are designated for a mobile station, initiating a re-authentication of the mobile station based on the determining to trigger the mobile station to establish communication with the server of the communication network to receive the one or more updates, and sending the one or more updates to the mobile station.
