A computer-implemented printing device for converting a drawing command acquired from a computer into an intermediate language by parallel processing. The printing device includes: an intermediate language code generation unit that acquires a drawing command and printing data written in a page description language and converts it into an intermediate language code; an intermediate language processing unit that processes the intermediate language code generated by the intermediate language code generation unit to generate raster data; and a printing mechanism that performs printing processing based on the raster data generated by the intermediate language processing unit.
