The control unit controls the path change unit so that a difference is as small as possible between the length of the path along which the printing medium is transported from at least one printing unit of the first printing unit group to several printing units of the second printing unit group via the turnover unit and the length of the path along which the printing medium is transported from another printing unit of the first printing unit group to several printing units of the second printing unit group via the turnover unit.
