The mobile terminal includes a case forming an outer appearance of the mobile terminal, a window formed at one surface of the case, a touch sensor located at the window, the touch sensor being configured to detect a touch input through the window, at least one pattern formation unit disposed in the case, the at least one pattern formation unit being configured to project a light pattern in one direction when the touch sensor is activated, and a path variation unit configured to vary the direction of the projected light such that the projected light pattern is directed toward the window.
