The first portion includes a first storage compartment having a lid adapted to secure items inside the first storage compartment. The second portion includes a second storage compartment adapted to hold a plurality of disposable bags and includes an open slot for removal of at least one of the bags. An aperture extends completely through the pet item storage unit between the first and second portions and is adapted to receive a dog leash. A light source is disposed between the first and second portions.
