A sheet reverse member is disposed at such a position relative to the sheet receiving tray and the sheet discharge roller that a trailing end of a first sheet discharged by the sheet discharge roller reaches the sheet reverse member before a leading end of a second sheet discharged subsequently to the first sheet collides with the first sheet when a sheet time interval between the trailing end of the first sheet and the leading end of the second sheet is set to a minimum sheet time interval available in continuous sheet discharge in the sheet discharge device.
