The method including: modulating the data onto a plurality of carriers with different carrier frequencies, resulting in a transmission signal; notching predetermined frequency bands of the transmission signal, which predetermined frequency bands would otherwise disturb external transmissions; and boosting carriers that are adjacent to the predetermined frequency bands and that would be attenuated because of the notching.
