They have a relationship of 2 to 5. A controlling section performs control such that timing at which a field group of the three successive frames of the first video signal having the second frame signal is changed to a field group of the two successive frames thereof matches timing at which a field group of the three successive frames of the second video signal having the second frame signal is changed to a field group of the two successive frames thereof.
