A mobile terminal for adding files includes a memory unit for storing a plurality of files and a file identifier set to correspond to a specific input signal, a display unit for displaying a list of files and file identifiers, the list comprising all or a specific category of the plurality of files and file identifiers, an input unit for selecting at least one file from the displayed file list and generating a specific input signal corresponding to the file identifier of the selected at least one file, a transceiving unit for communicating with a terminal, by sending and receiving files, and a controller for adding the selected at least one file to a file location associated with the specific input signal.
