The composite material includes a hydrocarbon compound and an inorganic compound which exhibits an electron-accepting property with respect to the hydrocarbon compound. The hydrocarbon compound has a molecular weight of greater than or equal to 400 and less than or equal to 2000, where one or more aryl groups are bonded to a fluorene unit.
