Support for multiple connections is enabled by establishing a connection of a first type to a network, receiving a request for a connection of the first type, registering a virtual connection as a response to receiving said request, receiving a request for establishing a connection of a second type through the virtual connection, associating the virtual connection with the connection of the first type, and establishing the connection of the second type through the connection of the first type.
