The operation mode controller (102) is arranged to determine a number of present consecutive dedicated physical data channel transmissions, and if the number of present consecutive dedicated physical data channel transmissions reaches a threshold, set the operation mode to the reduced mode, or if the number of present consecutive dedicated physical data channel transmissions is below the threshold, set the operation mode to the further reduced mode.
