Areas on the housing where material is removed are primarily selected based on the internal pressure generated in a given chamber of the silencer. Further, removal of external material is selected based on the baffle arrangement. Individual chamber pressure is influenced by the muzzle pressure of the host firearm and the baffle style and baffle orientation within the silencer being used.
