The printing apparatus includes an authority setting unit configured to, if authority of a user for the print job is authorized, set the authority of the user for the print job; a determination unit configured to, if a command to handle the print job is issued by the user, determine whether the user has the authority to perform the handling based on the authority set by the authority setting unit; and an execution unit configured to, if the determination unit determines that the user has the authority, execute a process according to the handling on the print job.
