An apparatus for providing a data encoding scheme may include an encoder. The encoder may be configured to determine, for a digital input value comprising a particular number of bits, whether more than half of the bits of the digital input value have a high value. The encoder may be further configured to encode the digital input value by inverting each of the bits of the digital input value in response to a determination that more than half of the bits of the digital input value have the high value.
