The controller may be secured to the substrate. The controller may control the components that emit light to generate a three-dimensional image within the volume. The controller may be connected to two or more of the organic electronic devices. The components that emit light may include organic electronic devices. The components that emit light may include a light-emitting nano-wire device. The layer may include at least one sub-layer capable of emitting red light, at least one sub-layer capable of emitting blue light, and at least one sub-layer capable of emitting green light, and at least one layer that is capable of reversibly opacifying.
