The liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel, a light guide plate disposed below the liquid crystal panel, and a light source unit which emits light to at least one side surface of the light guide plate. The light source unit includes light source elements which are disposed adjacent to the at least one side surface of the light guide plate, and which emit light that is incident on the at least one side surface of the light guide plate. A printed circuit board is disposed adjacent to a lower surface of the light guide plate and supports the light source elements.
