The damming device can include a first portion having a first thickness of a flexible elastomeric material disposed between a first diameter and a second diameter. The damming device can also include a second portion having a second thickness of the flexible elastomeric material disposed between a third diameter and the second diameter. The damming device can also include a hole having the third diameter. The first diameter is greater than the second diameter, and the second diameter is greater than the third diameter. Further, the first thickness is greater than the second thickness. The damming device can be disposed, under tension, within a slot formed between a top portion of a compound chamber and a bottom portion of a union body.
