A data recording area contains data representing a converted video stream, at least another stream, and multimedia coding data for controlling display of the video stream and the at least another stream on a common display device. The converted video stream is generated by performing a predetermined conversion process on an original video stream. The predetermined conversion process is controlled by additional information such that a display mismatch between the converted video stream and the at least another stream is avoided. The additional information is based on the multimedia coding data.
