Process for metasearching on the Internet performed by a metasearch engine, comprising: receiving an HTTP request from a client device for the metasearch engine to send at least one stock related search query to a plurality of unique hosts that provide access to stock related information; sending the at least one stock related search query to the plurality of unique hosts in response to the HTTP request; receiving search results from the plurality of unique hosts in response to the at least one stock related search query, the search results comprising price data related to at least one stock; incorporating the received search results comprising the price data related to the at least one stock and incorporating at least one related news item link into a response; communicating the response from the metasearch engine to the client device. Stock ordering and/or at least one updated response may also be included.
