A glove for use on a motorcycle comprises a front and a back, the front further comprising: a palm region, said palm region comprising an internal surface proximate a hand during use and an external surface opposite the internal surface; a finger region; and a thumb region; wherein said palm region comprises at least one skid protruding from said external surface; whereby on impact on a road surface the wearer slides on the surface as said skid engages the road surface.
