In a feeding mechanism for picking up the leading edge of the roll paper, a tip end of the pick-up guide rotates in a direction to widen a paper conveyance path as a remaining amount of the roll paper becomes less, and a part of the pick-up guide moves to a direction to approach the roll paper to be conveyed or a direction to urge the roll paper according to the rotation of the pick-up guide.
