A fixing member has an elongate body that includes a securing portion positionable in the internal bore of the tubular section and a coupling formation which projects from an opposite end of the fixing member. The fixing member is securable by deformation of an end of the tubular section, once the securing portion of the fixing member has been inserted into the end of the tubular section.
