The liquid crystal display device includes a side frame provided with a reflective surface to refract light irradiated from light-emitting diodes arranged to direct light upward at a predetermined position. The side frame constitutes the side periphery of the liquid crystal display device and is connected with a bottom chassis through a holder. The configuration of the side frame and reflective surface is able to reduce a width of a bezel portion of a top chassis and prevent light from bypassing a light guide portion so as to prevent bright lines from forming on a display.
