The control section causes an alignment correction amount to vary between registration control corresponding to image forming for a second or subsequent sheet in the first image forming mode and registration control corresponding to image forming for a second or subsequent sheet in the second image forming mode. An engine control section causes a color deviation correction amount for contact control of a process unit when shifting from image forming for a first sheet to image forming for a second sheet to vary between the first and second image forming modes.
