A second light source is disposed under the emulating coal, a sound generator is installed in the housing for controlling illumination of a simulate flame of the fireplace, and the sound generator is connected to the second light source. A dynamic variation on the simulate flame is attained, which results in an attractive performance of the simulate flame.
