The guard bar has a first set of spaced apart projections offset from a second set of spaced apart projections in a first direction parallel to the blade and in a second direction transverse to the blade. The first set of projections and the second set of projections define a plurality of open channels extending transverse to the blade. The open channels have a width of about 0.20 mm to about 0.50 mm.
