A part of the saw blade passes through an opening portion formed to penetrate through the surface plate and is exposed to the other side of the surface plate. The part of the saw blade exposed to the other side is covered by the lower guard. The first axis is parallel to the second axis. The first axis is located closer to a side of the surface plate than the second axis.
