The processing unit acquires, from the code read by the reading unit, coordinate information regarding coordinates on the medium and processing specifying information which specifies processing to be performed on acquired information. The processing unit also performs predetermined processing specified by the processing specifying information on the acquired information. The acquired information is information acquirable by the reading apparatus and includes the coordinate information. The transfer unit transfers a processing result obtained by the processing unit to a predetermined transfer destination.
