The liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal display panel including an upper substrate, a lower substrate, and a liquid crystal layer between the upper substrate and the lower substrate, an upper polarizing plate including a first λ/4 plate positioned on the upper substrate of the liquid crystal display panel, a first linear polarizer positioned on the first λ/4 plate, and a second λ/4 plate displayed on the first linear polarizer, and a lower polarizing plate including a third λ/4 plate positioned on the lower substrate of the liquid crystal display panel and a second linear polarizer positioned on the third λ/4 plate.
