A liquid crystal display device includes according to an embodiment a liquid crystal panel having a liquid crystal layer formed between a first substrate and a second substrate, a backlight unit comprising a light source part located adjacent to a short side of the liquid crystal panel and a light guide plate configured to transmit a light emitted from the light source part to the liquid crystal panel, a supporting member configured to support the backlight unit, and a first heat radiating member radiating heat generated from the light source part, wherein the first heat radiating member is provided at one side of the supporting member, and is positioned between the light source part and the supporting member. According to the present invention, material cost for the light source part is reduced and production cost may be lowered accordingly.
