The delineator pole can include an elongated body enclosing an interior chamber, a flap disposed at a bottom end of the body and having an aperture defined therein, a retention structure for retaining a lower portion of the body within a granular medium, at least one valve disposed on the elongated body and in communication with the interior chamber, and a protective sleeve enclosing a portion of the elongated body.
