The script file storage unit stores therein a first script to convert the data format of print setting information from a first format to a second format, and a second script for converting the data format of the print setting information from the second format to the first format. At least part of the print setting information in the first format cannot be changed through an application. The print setting information in the second format can be changed through the application. The script execution unit executes at least one of the first script and the second script in accordance with a request from the application.
