An expandable workbench that includes one or more expansion members slidingly connected to a frame, with the one or more expansion members expandable in a plane P between a first retracted position and a second expanded position. The workbench also includes a plurality of receiving members, each of which includes a receiving groove with a longitudinal axis L, with the longitudinal axis of the receiving grooves being at least pair wise parallel to each other and the plane P, and each of the one or more expansion members being equipped with one of the plurality of receiving members, such that the expansion members expand diagonally from the center of the frame.
