The fabrication method includes providing a plurality of first electrode plates and second electrode plates and two separators, attaching the plurality of first electrode plates to portions between the two separators, attaching the plurality of second electrode plates to one of the two separators, winding the separators having the plurality of first and second electrode plates to form a wound electrode assembly, removing curved portions of the outermost separators positioned at exterior sides of the first and second electrode plates to form a stacked electrode assembly and accommodating the stacked electrode assembly in a sheath member.
