The method of analyzing a test material comprises the steps of (vii) inducing an acoustic emission from a vessel containing a solvent and measuring said emissions; (viii) dissolving a known amount of the test material in the solvent; measuring changes in resonance and absorbance frequencies before and after dissolution to produce a broadband acoustic resonant dissolution emission profile.
