The call-in string is parsed to separate the call-in number and the pass code, using the computerized device. A pause indicator is identified in the call-in string, using the computerized device. The pause indicator is formatted to a type-specific format appropriate for the type of communication device, using the computerized device. The call-in number is transmitted from the computerized device to the communication receiver. A pause is executed, using the computerized device, according to the pause indicator formatted for a specific type of device. The pass code is transmitted from the computerized device to the communication receiver.
