Further, the invention provides an automatic teller machine capable of performing a remote control function, comprising: a plurality of buttons and an automatic teller machine body equipped with a short-range wireless receiving device; and a remote controller which can execute the short-range wireless communication with the automatic teller machine body, wherein a system controlling program stored in the automatic teller machine body is activated through the remote controller in such a manner that the opening and closing operations of the automatic teller machine are conducted automatically through the button operation of the remote controller.
