The base member includes two opposed end surfaces, two opposed side surfaces, and two opposed principal surfaces. The external electrodes are disposed on the end surfaces of the base member. The metal terminals are connected to the external electrodes by bonding with solder. A relationship of about 21≦Vc/Vh≦about 320 is satisfied where Vc is a volume of the electronic component body and Vh is a volume of the solder provided at one of the pairs of the external electrodes and the metal terminals.
