The tablet includes at least one macrocyclic lactone compound with anthelmintic activity dissolved in at least one organic solvent and subsequently formulated into a tablet. The tablets produced have a high degree of stability when stored over time and also provide the animal with a dose of agent sufficient to be therapeutically effective.
