The mobile computing device is provided a synchronization index, wherein the synchronization index is associated to multimedia and indicates respective times within the multimedia corresponding to a word or range of words. The mobile computing device software comprises executable program code configured to facilitate annotation of the synchronization index responsive to user input received by the mobile computing device and communicates this annotation to a second computing device via a network.
