The sheet feeding cassette also includes first and second side edge restricting portions configured to restrict widthwise positions of the sheets. The second side edge restricting portion includes first and second pressing portions configured to press the sheets on the sheet stacking portion against the first side edge restricting portion. The second pressing portion provided upstream in the sheet feeding direction of the first pressing portion is moved up and down by an interlock mechanism in linkage with a total thickness of the sheets on the sheet stacking portion.
