In one aspect, a method includes receiving one or more requests from an application to load a plurality of media players referenced in a document to be presented by the application, in which each media player is configured to present respective content in a respective presentation area of the document presentation and determining an order for loading the media players based on a visibility and dimensions of each respective presentation area.
